Newlyweds

Well it's official...we are Mr. & Mrs. Petrusick. I can't believe the wedding is over. After months of planning, it went by so fast. John and I had so much fun :) We are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends that help make this moment special. I hope that all our guest had just as much fun as we did. I don't have the "official" pictures yet but here are some that I stole off of facebook. Enjoy!

Well...It's Been Way Too Long!

Wow, I am really not good at updating this blog! I am going to try my best to atleast update it once every 2 weeks.

Since the last time I have blogged (in September) a lot has been going on.

It is under 100 days until the wedding day!!! So we are busy putting the finishing touches on everything. There is just so much to do.

I am also working on my National Boards (for those of you who don't know I missed it by 4 point :( so sad) but I am retaking it with a positive attitude! So I have been trying to do a little at a time so I can turn it in sooner rather than later.

John is doing well too. He is busy as a bee up in Greenville.

Speaking of Greenville, over the last year (almost) I have begun to fall in love with it! John and I are looking forward to all the adventure and opportunity it brings :)

Well hopefully I will do better at updating this blog!!!

The WORST blogger ever!

It has been so long since my last update!!! Hopefully I will do better in the future. A lot has happened since my last post, so here is my best attempt to recap....

1. The first Wedding Shower!!!
Our wonderful friends (Meg and Trevis Hall, Gregory Bingel, Julie and Chuck Haselden, Bryan Della Volpe, and Chris and Elizabeth Render) threw an awesome LUAU themed wedding shower for us on August the 6th. John and I are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!! We missed Chris and Elizabeth at the shower but they were getting ready for there baby girl who was born the next day :) We enjoyed seeing and spending time with everyone that came!

2. I found THE dress!!
Yes you read that right, I finally found my wedding dress! I guess that means I am all set, right? Wrong, there is so much to do! Good thing I have Holly (aka Wedding Planner, aka Maid of Honor).

3. Last but not least School started back. I had mixed emotions starting back, I was very excited yet a little sad because I knew this was my last year with my kids at BC #1 (and my last year as Miss Huckabee). I am looking forward to another great school year :)

I am going to TRY my best to do a better job updating the blog (maybe John can start helping)

Weekend + Friends = Awesome

This weekend was a great weekend for hanging out with friends. On Friday I went down to the beach with some of my favorite co-workers from school. We went for a conference on Saturday, but we got to hang out on Friday night. We went down to Broadway at the Beach and had dinner and went out. We went to Fat Tuesday to have some frozen drinks and people watch. Finally we went to Crocodile Rocks to watch the dueling pianos. It was a great time with some wonderful people!

While I was at the beach John came down to Columbia and hung out with our friends on Friday night and then went to the lake with everyone on Saturday.

When I got back into town on Saturday we met our friends Trevis, Meg, and Volpe out for dinner at Peralz Oyster Bar. It was so YUMMY! After dinner we went out in the Vista and had some drinks.

John and I are very lucky to have such wonderful friends!

Moving

This weekend was John's official move to Greenville. We started out Friday night packing up John's house in Columbia and then Saturday we spent the day unpacking and watching the movers move all of John's stuff up three flights of steps (they were NOT excited). We are very lucky to have such good friends to help move. Trevis, Meg, and Greg were kind enough to come up to Greenville and help. Luckily after moving we got go out and spend a little time in downtown Greenville. We started at one of my favorite restaurants Smoke on the Water and then hit a few bars after dinner. I think everyone enjoyed spending sometime in a new city. I know that John and I are looking forward to explore Greenville more and of course sharing it with our friends.

John's Big Trip

John should get an award for being one of the biggest gamecock fans, because he is in Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series. After USC won on Saturday night he said "I'm going" and I said "sure". To my surprise Sunday morning he came in and said "I booked my flight and got a hotel I leave at 4". I really didn't know what to say in response, I couldn't find it my heart to get mad or ask questions because he was so excited. I talk to him throughout the day and he is having a great time. Although I can not bring myself to cheer for the gamecocks...I will say I'm glad John got to have this experience.
